If you are looking to buy a new car in 2010 then you need to take out your pen and paper and jot down some notes here. As you can imagine with all of the bad press, Toyota has taken a real hit this year but they still have a few contenders. Are you ready?
Best overall: Lexus 460L Apparently Toyota’s problems have not impacted their flagship brand as this Lexus model scores a 99 on Consumer Reports 100-point scale.
Family Sedan: Nissan Altima
Small sedan: Hyundai Elantra SE
Sporty car: Volkswagen GTI with its turbocharged 200-horsepower four-cylinder engine
Small SUV: Subaru Forester- This should have went to the Toyota Rav4 but Consumer held back until the recall issues are handled
Family SUV: Chevrolet Traverse – This should have went to the Toyota Highlander Consumer held back until the recall issues are handled
Green car: Toyota Prius for the 7th year in a row!
Sports sedan: Infiniti G37 for the 4th year in a row!
Family hauler: Mazda5 – Consumer Reports says, it has a “nimble feel and a comfortable ride.”
Pickup: Chevrolet Silverado
