Halloween and your home insurance policy

Its that time of year again and insurance carriers are cringing. Why?

Did you know that Halloween week (October 30- November  5) is responsible for more malicious claims than any other week of the year? And that’s right, you guessed it, Halloween Night October 31 is the granddaddy of them all with a whopping 270% more claims than any other day.

Past years claims range from broken windows, walls and fences being knocked over and believe it or not having to repaint houses because of rotten eggs that were thrown.

Thankfully, with your Atlanta home insurance policy you won’t have to worry about repairs. But it certainly does make sense to make sure doors and windows are kept locked, exterior lights are shining brightly and anything that could be broken or damaged is safely put out of the way from the hands of those halloweeners who are intent of “tricking” while ‘treating”.
