How To Make Using The Stairs More Fun

Take a moment and enjoy how these ingenious folks give people a reason to do ordinary mundane things like taking the stairs instead of the escalator.

I couldn’t help but think about how they must have gotten this idea from the world famous FAO Shwartz toy store. Do you remember the movie, “Big” with Tom Hanks? Remember the scene in FAO Shwartz, when Tom Hanks was playing chopstix on the piano by jumping from key to key? If you haven’t seen it in a while you can see it on youtube here.

This innovation turned FAO Shwartz from an ordinary toy store into  the ultimate toystore experience where even grownups have fun shopping.

I wonder how you can use this idea in your family or business?

Are you a business owner? How can you make it “fun” to do business with your company? If all things are equal, I know I would I would choose to hire a service company that makes working with them fun . Think about how this would be a great way for your clients to spread the word about your business to their friends and all of the referrals that this could generate for you.

Taking a business that is just a commodity and making it an enjoyable experience for the customer is the best form of  business insurance you can have in this economy.

If you are a manager, what if you could find a way to make some of the the mundane but necessary assignments that your employees do more fun or challenging? What kind of impact could that have on the morale of the entire organization?
