- As regards your outdoor water faucets, you can pick up from your local hardware store an insulated cap that fits over these for the winter months. It will only cost you a few dollars but will be worth the investment.
- Have you ever heard of heat tape before? Heat tape is like an electric blanket for water pipes. It can be wrapped around exterior pipes and faucets to keep them warm during the cold winter nights. They do require a 110 volt outlet to plug into. Consult a licensed electrician before working with this product.
